Overview
CRAK is SSS’s flavor and palatability enhancer — a powder that can be mixed dry into feed or dissolved in water to improve a show animal’s willingness to eat or drink. It is used to keep feed intake consistent in animals that go off feed due to show stress, unfamiliar environments, or picky eating tendencies. Also used for “slop feeding” (wet, mash-style feeding) and for drench training — acclimating animals to being drenched so they accept liquid supplements readily at shows. How Experienced Feeders Actually Use It
CRAK is the intake management tool — the product show feeders reach for when a lamb stops eating at the fairgrounds or won’t drink enough water. Adding CRAK to the water bucket is a common trick to keep water consumption up during hot weather and show stress. The Day Pak format is specifically designed for the show box — pre-measured single-serving packets that travel easily and don’t require measuring at the show.
Drench training use: SSS explicitly mentions CRAK for drench training. By dissolving CRAK in water and using it as the drench fluid for 1–2 weeks before the show, lambs become comfortable with the drenching process so they accept Gold Dust drenches at the show without fighting.
