MoorMan's® ShowTec® RumaFill™

High-fiber beet pulp mini-pellet topdress for rib shape and show fill in lambs and goats without adding fat or protein

Always read and follow product labels for feeding and sheep safety.

Overview

ShowTec RumaFill is a high-fiber beet pulp mini-pellet designed to expand the rib cage and fill out the flank of show lambs and calves for a more competitive ring presentation. At 8.5% protein, 1% fat, and 25.5% max fiber, it adds fill without adding significant fat or protein — targeting rib shape without changing conditioning. Requires a complete show base ration alongside it.

How Experienced Feeders Actually Use It

RumaFill is the ADM answer to the fill/rib shape problem — a beet pulp fiber topdress that mimics the role that hay or sunglo 2-the-Fullest plays in other programs. Feeders add it in the final weeks to open up the ribcage and fill the flank without adding unwanted fat. Common to stack with Fast Fat: Fast Fat for cover, RumaFill for shape.

Real-World Feeding Rate

  • Typical rate: 0.5–1 lb/day for lambs
  • Introduction timeline: Weeks 5–3 when shaping becomes the priority

Phase Protocols

Weeks 5–3 | Fill & Shaping Phase

Primary introduction window — start at 0.5 lbs/day and increase toward 1–2 lbs/day as show approaches.

Weeks 2–1 | Final Prep Phase

Adjust to achieve target rib shape and fill.

Show Week (Days 5–1)

Can be continued at the show to maintain gut fill and presentation.

Show Day

Typically discontinued on show day in favor of dedicated show-day fill protocols, but some feeders continue at a light rate.

Stacking Protocols

Combines directly with Fast Fat: RumaFill fills the rib cage, Fast Fat adds cover. Keep separate from base ration in terms of accounting for total dry matter intake. Does not conflict with protein supplements (MoorGame, etc.) — different mechanism.

Budget Alternatives

  • Sunglo Full Tank — similar high-fiber fill product (citrus pulp)
  • Sunglo 2-The-Fullest — orchard grass + cob fill product
  • Commodity beet pulp — same active ingredient at much lower cost per pound; lacks processing into mini-pellet form
